The T.2 Elite are very comfortable gloves for road and mountain biking. The pad design is excellent, the pad firmness is just right, the placement of the pads is right for my hands, and they washed ok on my first machine washing. I don't do triathlons and have no real preference for the Rip-It closure over standard bike glove closures. They are relatively pricey, but seem well designed and well constructed. Compared with many other gloves I have tried over the years, they do provide somewhat better protection of the median nerve as it passes through the carpal tunnel. With most other gloves, I occasionally get tingling in my fingers after 20 or 30 miles, this is noticeably less frequent with these gloves. The leather, other material, stitching, padding, and velcro have held up well for the first 500 miles or so, mostly road biking, with one hand washing and a machine washing. My one criticism is that the black leather dye on the inside palm leather comes off on my hands. Spenco should look into using a different dye. This improved only slightly after hand washing the gloves once, and machine washing once. Four and a half stars rounds up to five, good ergonomic design trumps dye bleeding onto my palms. Highly recommended.
